What’s Included?
Our 4-person, log-fired Finnish sauna tent is available for you to hire at Cullercoats Bay. Your session includes a sauna assistant who will outline how to enjoy an authentic Finnish sauna experience and will remain available throughout to keep the log fire burning hot. A selection of essential oils and exfoliating body scrubs are provided to elevate your sauna experience leaving you feel relaxed and re-energised.
Price: £15 per person, for 60 minutes, including welcome and safety briefing. Private hire also available.
Venue: Cullercoats Bay.
Suitable for: Individuals or groups of up to four people* per session. Adults and accompanied children ages 14+.
*Can accommodate a cosy six. Further details available upon request.

Who is this session suitable for?
People who are looking to sauna on the beach. Typically this would be combined with periods of cold water immersion in the North Sea. Seasoned swimmers may enjoy going in the water in shorts or swimming costume. If this is your first time, you can also hire a wetsuit from us too so that you can slowly acclimatise to the water. You can add this on during the booking process.
Where and when do I meet the guide?
We have attached the arrival and end times of your tour onto the booking invoice as a handy reminder because we know you might be booking months in advance and so you can make plans for the rest of your day around this experience.
Your sauna will usually be waiting at the bottom of the north ramp in Cullercoats Bay, please keep an eye out for our flags and the green sauna tent as the sauna location is tide dependant, so can also be located further into the bay using the cliffs for shelter.

Savotta Finnish Tent Sauna with log fire.
100% pure essential oils
Exfoliating body scrubs
Lava rocks and water to create steam in the sauna.
Unlimited kiln dried logs to keep the fire hot.
A sauna assistant who remains nearby throughout. They will tend the fire for you.
What do I need to bring?
Your swimwear or a wetsuit depending on your preference. Wetsuit hire is also available.
Big towel or changing robe for discreet changing (changing facilities are available)
Warm clothes, woolly socks and a hat for after.
A bottle of water for hydration
